Density Meter in the CONCRETE, CEMENTING
The meter can be used for density measurement of heavy and abrasive cement and concrete whether for well cementing in the Oil & Gas industry, or for concrete in civil engineering. Many factors affect the density of concrete including the mix proportions (cement, fine or coarse aggregates and water), as well as the type of aggregate (light clay/shale vs. heavy stone), and of course the air content. Traditionally, the density of freshly mixed concrete has been measured using the manual gravimetric method described in the ASTM C138 standard, for density ranging from 115 to 155 lb/ft³ (1,842 to 2,483 kg/m³). The ADM’s capabilities offer continuous, real time, full bore density measurement for such slurries.
